What We’re About
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. It is a space for queer joy, rage, love, sweat, stories, and solidarity. This site exists because I believe in the power of community and comradery. Whether you’re here to find events, read something that resonates, purchase some crazy art or just feel a little less alone, you’re in the right place.
It all started with a queer book club in Sheffield as my first regular sense of community. That has now grown into weekly trans-led grappling classes in Leeds and dyke oil wrestling down Chapel Walk. Community doesn’t always announce itself, which is why I started the blog and the zine to uncover and celebrate the best local gays and explore what else we can create together.
The zine offers monthly insight into local events with some I’ve attended and others on the horizon, so everyone can find something that feels right. The blog is a space for bigger conversations or at least a bit of thought provocation.
Community is everything to me. As an out and proud queer since the 2010s, I’ve always found strength in solidarity. Queer life isn’t always easy because of family, friends, violence, societal pressure, or loneliness, but together, we can get through it. We owe it to ourselves and those who came before us to show what unity can look like.
So fuck politicians, fuck the far right, and fuck anyone who says we can’t make a difference. In a world growing more and more hostile, I still believe in love. I believe in community. I believe in us.
Everything here is made by me but built for all of us. The zine includes opportunities for community input, whether you want to share an experience, promote an event, or just connect. If you want to contribute or start a conversation, reach out. I’m so glad you’re here and hope you find something you like here!!
